The construction of high efficient power plant in Africa to commence

Tobene Power S.A is set to begin the construction of high efficient power plant in Senegal after the country’s Tobene Power Project signed a financing deal with the World Bank Group International Development Association.
According to a statement released by Republic of Senegal, other banks involved in the financing of the project includes the Citibank and BNP Paribas.
The project is expected to be carried out by Senegalese independent power producer Tobene Power S.A and it will be constructed at Taiba Ndiaye which is approximately located 90 Kilometers on the Nothern part from the countries Capital Dakar.
The power plant in Senegal will have the capacity to operate on natural gas a move that will see the country increase an affordable reliable power to cub the high current demand in the country.
The statement added that the World Bank will also provide a good flexible payment mechanism.
The project’s construction has already kicked off and it’s expected to start up its operation early 2016 and that will immediately pump 96 more watts to the industry.
The Senegalese power project is one of many power project in Africa that is being funded by the World Bank which is aiming to see Africa become a power sufficient Continent.
