African Development Bank Commits $25 Billion to Strengthen the Renewable Energies Sector

East Africa's Power Output poised to reach 7,480MW by 2022

 By 2022, the East African Community (EAC) will have a combined generation of 7,480 MW of electricity. Ethiopia and Djibouti signs deal to build 765km pipeline

The government of Ethiopia and Djibouti has signed a deal to build a 765km pipeline to transport gas from the landlocked state to Djibouti, partly bordered by the red sea. Construction of Kenya-Tanzania Power Interconnection Project Gears Up to Connect Southern Africa Power Pool

The Kenya-Tanzania Power Interconnection Project has been divided into several lots, with contractors on the Tanzanian side executing to set up a 510km 400kv transmission line and following substations in order to meet the 2020 completion deadline. New firm gets concession to extract methane gas from Lake Kivu

Rwanda’s energy targets are set to get a boost following the government’s decision to provide a concession to a private investor to start production of methane gas from Lake Kivu.
