Kenya pushes back plans for Sh968bn nuclear power plant to focus on renewables

Kenya’s Ministry of Energy has released an updated power development plan, unveiling the nation’s energy strategy between 2017 and 2037. Under the strategy, construction of the planned Sh968bn (US$9.6bn) nuclear power plant has been postponed by nine years. First phase of power pool project to be completion by mid 2019

Tanzania- Stieglers Gorge water project almost complete

 According to the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Stiegler’s Gorge water project in Tanzania is now at 80% complete. Ethiopia- Tendaho Geothermal Project Gets US $9m Grant From AFD

Tanzania to Generate 7mw for Mafia Island

Kenya- Drilling On Longonot Geothermal Project to Start June 2018
