EU gives out Sh13.9 billion for geothermal generation

UK firms eye Sh64bn deals in green energy

Rwanda: Off-Grid Power Firm Roots for Renewable Energy Solutions

Kenya Power changes tack in war on transformer vandals

 Kenya Power transformer suppliers will have to shift to converters that contain aluminium windings, as opposed to copper ones currently in use as the utility firm moves to tame vandals who have cost it dearly.   The electricity distributor says its suppliers will now be required to adhere to new guidelines to save the company from losses that it incurs on vandalism.   The new specifications are intended to increase durability.... Egbin Power Plc set to expand into Tanzania

Kenya: Geothermal Development's Turn to Profit Tilts Energy Mix

 The Geothermal Development Company (GDC) broke the loss making streak to post Sh1.6 billion net profit in the full year ending June 2015 after inking a deal to sell steam from its Olkaria wells to the government. Rwanda: Adding 23mw to National Grid Tops Mininfra Priorities This Fiscal Year
