Kenya: Self-sufficient in terms of electricity generation

Tanzania: Industries on Energy Audit to Save Costs

Industries have embarked on energy audit to minimise electricity costs that account for between 15 and 40 per cent of total production overheads. Kenya Power in Sh3.2 Billion Substations Upgrade

LNG to grow in Sub-Saharan Africa

 Tanzania is estimated to hold significant reserves of gas offshore, equating to approximately 55 trillion ft3 of recoverable resources. BG Group and Statoil are currently developing the country’s only proposed LNG liquefaction facility, which will be fed by gas sourced from Blocks 1 and 2. World Power Sector Emissions Seen Peaking in 2029 - Research

SIEMENS SIGNS $9BN DEAL WITH EGYPT
