 Vestas has supplied 365 wind turbines that will see Kenya’s Lake Turkana Wind Power Project (LTWP) give off 310 megawatts. The order becomes the largest single order for the company.  Kenya will begin to export power to Rwanda to help the latter meet its increasing demands for low cost electricity. Gigawatt global is set to spend about US$2billion in developing and pumping 1000Mw of solar power in Africa by 2020.   Dutch company Gigawatt has said the 1000MW power project will have its roots in East Africa where the largest photovoltaic field will be built in Rwanda.
