Kenya Power billed for idle wind farm

ERC rejects Kenya Power bid for Sh2.6bn tariff rise

 The energy sector regulator has shot down a Kenya Power application for electricity tariff increase that would have seen consumers’ bills increase by Sh2.6 billion every month.   This is the second time since last year that Kenya Power has unsuccessfully sought approval of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to raise power charges.   The electricity distributor says a tariff increase is necessary to cover surging.... A wind farm of epic proportions is taking shape in Africa

 In Kenya, efforts to produce wind power on a grand scale are underway. Energy utility announces end to power rationing

Rwanda: Musanze Hydro Power Plant Project to Add 3.6 Megawatts on National Grid

Rwanda: PPP launches Musanze hydropower plant

Rwanda: Govt Pushes for Innovations, Efficiency to Meet Energy Targets

Rwanda adds to energy mix with first peat-fired power plant in Africa

 Rwanda recently celebrated the opening of its first peat-fired power plant at Gishoma in the far west of the country, a $39.2M project. Rwanda to Generate 355MW in Next 3years After Missing Target
